I was already planning a trip to Beer Nuts tonight when I opened this morning’s Register Guard and found an article about the bottle shop. Near the end of the article, it is mentioned that Beer Nuts is holding a tasting tonight for Fire Mountain Brewery’s Oregon Pale Ale. This is the first bottled beer from the Carlton brewery.
What an awesome way to start the morning. I was already excited to pick up the slew of winter ales for this weekend’s taste-off and now I get to sample some new beer from a brewery I’m not familiar with. In fact, the first time I heard the name Fire Mountain was just minutes before reading the Beer Nuts article. I had flipped through the Market of Choice two week insert and noticed Oregon Pale Ale bombers on special for $3.99.
If the Fire Mountian brew turns out to be a winner, I’ll pick up a bottle and give it a review later.
