Oregon SB 444 passed the Senate floor yesterday, with a final vote of 30-0 in favor of the homebrew bill. If passed, SB 444 will restore many long-standing homebrew activities, barred by last year’s ruling.

Tomorrow afternoon Zwickelfever hits Eugene. Zwickelmania, now in its 3rd year, is a free statewide brewery open house, hosted by the Oregon Brewers Guild. In just a few hours, Eugene’s first premiere beer fest of the year, the KLCC Microbrew Festival, opens its doors. The annual two-day festival (and accompanying used record/cd sale) is KLCC’s largest fundraising event. Every penny taken in goes toward keeping the public radio station on the air.
