I just swung by my local Albertsons to pick up some groceries. I was shocked by the amount of new brews they had. There was a big stack of Widmer’s W’10 Pitch Black IPA at one end of the aisle, six days ahead of its supposed release date. Coincidentally, Hopworks is also releasing a [...] My wife and I stopped in at the Eugene City Brewery last night for dinner and a chance to try Granddaddy Ale. If you missed my previous post, Granddaddy Ale is a one-off golden ale brewed with 2 pounds of red rose petals, created to commemorate the UofO Ducks trip to the Rose Bowl. [...] Apparently this blogging thing has given me a small amount of beer clout. More and more I am getting asked beer questions from friends and co-workers. A question that has come up a few times recently is: I will be visiting friends/family in another state. OR Friends/family from out of state will be visiting [...] I just received an e-mail from Eugene City Brewery about their upcoming brew Granddaddy Ale; a beer to celebrate the UofO Ducks trip to the Rose Bowl.
