A while ago, I was having a conversation with my friend Jesse. Like most of our conversations, the topic turned to beer. I think I was talking about Laughing Dog’s Dogzilla Black IPA. Jesse said that it was funny how many breweries had either the word “dog” or “river” in their name. He said [...] That’s right, big daddy Goggle lured me in with his smooth talk and promises of ad revenue. He told me that all I had to do was provide a little room for his friends and he would treat me right. Before I knew what was happening, my innocent little corner of the interwebs was crammed [...] When I picked up the Stumptown Tart (reviewed here), I also grabbed a bottle of MacTarnahan’s Lip Stinger; a limited release Farmhouse, or Saison ale. It gets it’s moniker from the cracked peppercorns that are added during fermentation. It also has a slightly higher ABV (4.8%) than [...] I picked up a bottle Stumptown Tart the weekend before last. Due to being a lazy sack, I hadn’t got around to writing a review until now. First things first, a little history. Stumptown Tart is a single batch Belgian wheat ale; part of Bridgeport’s Big Brew line. First introduced [...] Saturday morning I picked up a couple bottle from Samuel Smith; their Oatmeal Stout and Nut Brown Ale. Later that afternoon, I received a text message from Jesse.
